What difference would it make if every home in West Virginia was prayed for, every individual heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, and every person extended an invitation to attend a local gathering of believers?

PRAY for the lost in their communities, ENGAGE them in Christ-centered conversations and/or Christ-honoring service, and SOW the gospel message?

HARVEST like that seen in the book of Acts and the Great Awakenings?

Across West Virginia 2010 is an initiative designed to make a difference. We hope to mobilize Southern Baptist churches in each of our ten associations to PRAY, ENGAGE, SOW, HARVEST & ASSIMILATE new disciples of Jesus Christ.

EVERY church participated...if EVERY believer shared...EVERY person heard?

Across West Virginia
Saturating our State with the Gospel

PHASE ONE: Praying...Across West Virginia. A coordinated prayer effort will be launched on February 21. At this time, church members or groups of church members will be exhorted to pray for three lost individuals for the following six weeks. Those who commit to praying for the lost will be given a 316 card (modified for West Virginia with 6 weeks instead of 6 days). In addition, participating churches will be guided in conducting prayer walks in targeted neighborhoods for three weeks from February 21 - March 13. The prayer walking will be for the twofold purpose of (1) getting people out of the pews and into the streets and (2) praying onsite with insight.

PHASE TWO: The Main Event Across West Virginia. Simultaneous conferences will be held regionally on (or around) Sunday, March 14, 2010. Taking the place of our traditional State Evangelism Celebration, these conferences will serve as rallying events to communicate the cooperative effort of Southern Baptists across the state and to encourage everyone to move on to the third phase, Find It Here Across West Virginia. The goal is to have at least 100 participants from each region (association), meaning 1,000 West Virginian Southern Baptists rallying for the cause of Christ!

PHASE THREE: Find It Here Across West Virginia. From March 14-April 3, churches and individual believers will saturate their neighborhoods and communities with Find It Here materials (gospel presentation, invitation to Easter service, church info, etc.). Also during this time, Find It Here TV commercials will air across the state. Participating churches will display Find It Here banners in order to assist seeking individuals where to find "it"(faith, hope, love...Jesus!).

PHASE FOUR: Celebrate Across West Virginia. After Easter (April 4), churches will conduct their own services to celebrate the results of the Across West Virginia 2010 initiative. Hopefully, there will be baptisms and other harvest testimonies. In the least, churches ought to celebrate their faithful participation and testify to personal growth, experiences, lessons, etc. Ultimately, God will be given the glory for the great things He has done!
